Now, some years later, Nicklas and Anni, the founders of Solsken decided to develop the brand by adding a beverage for grown-ups only – a carefully flavored gin. This process was as meticulous as with their original products, using only hand-picked ingredients in order to create a gin that would taste just like summer – and sunshine – in a bottle.

 

Our assignment was to create the design for the bottle. It was important to stay true to the summery feeling of the original Solsken lemonade but at the same time making sure it is perceived as more adult since this is an alcoholic beverage.

 

We worked together with artist Karin Berggren to create a playful yet sophisticated pattern using watercolor technique. A manner that through nuances of yellow and pink really enhances the ingredients and summery feel. The carefully chosen bottle is produced by a small Italian manufacturer.

 

The first batch is available in only 990 bottles and was first launched at Österlen in the summer of 2023.
